Privacy
This website
This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no fonts, scripts or images from other sites, and keeps no visitor logs of its own. The script on the page only handles the filters and sorting in your browser and stores nothing.
The pages are served by GitHub Pages. GitHub, like any web host, may process technical data such as your IP address when you request a page; see GitHub's own privacy statement.
Browser check
The Browser check page reads details of your browser only when you press its button. The reading happens inside the page: nothing is sent to us or to anyone, and nothing is stored. The two optional checks, each with its own button, contact other servers from your browser. The tracker test makes two requests to each of seven advertising and analytics servers (it only requests a script, never runs it) and one to this site; the connection check makes requests to Cloudflare (its public connection page and its public WebRTC server). Every server is listed on that page, before the button. Those companies see what any request carries, such as your IP address; we send no cookies and no referring page, and we never receive the results, which are shown only to you.
Requests: analyses and short links
If you ask for an analysis or a short link, you do it through a public GitHub issue, processed automatically by GitHub Actions. The issue, your GitHub account name and the address you enter are visible on GitHub and governed by GitHub's terms. We use the account name and its age only to apply usage limits. Analysis results stay in the issue. A short link is stored in the repository (code, destination, date and a summary of what we measured) and published on this site. This website itself still sets no cookies and collects nothing.
Weekly email (optional)
You get the weekly email only if you ask for it: the Weekly email page has a ready-made message to send to asenjo.jose@hotmail.com. Details:
- Who is responsible: Jose Luis Asenjo Tornero, contact asenjo.jose@hotmail.com.
- What is kept: your email address, when and how you asked, whether you said you are interested in a review for your organisation, and your language. Nothing else. The emails carry no tracking: no images, no pixels, no wrapped links.
- Why: to send you the weekly update (the same text published on Bluesky after each weekly check) and the short midweek update. The emails may end with an offer of the developer's audit, analysis and automation services; that is part of what you agree to when you ask.
- Legal basis: your consent. You give it by asking and by confirming: we reply asking you to confirm, and you confirm by replying. You can withdraw it at any time by replying UNSUBSCRIBE to any email; it is honoured at once.
- Where: a private list kept by the developer and one private, encrypted GitHub secret that the sending workflow reads. The list is never in the public repository or on this website. The emails are sent through a mail provider (Google's Gmail service), which therefore handles them; its servers may be outside the European Union.
- How long: until you unsubscribe. After that only your address and the date are kept, so that you are not added again by mistake.
- Sharing: your data is never shared, sold or used for anything else.
- Your rights: access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability: write to the contact address. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD, aepd.es).
Data we publish
We publish measurements of public web pages: which third-party domains each page contacted when loaded without interaction. Reports contain no personal data about visitors. Cookie values and URL query strings are never stored.
